Who I Am
I live for the edge—the thin line between challenge and chaos. My lens thrives in the raw intensity of chosen suffering: those moments when heartbeats echo louder than thoughts, and fear fuels clarity. From the jagged cliffs of multi-pitch climbs to the untamed rapids of wilderness rivers, I chase the pulse of life in extreme environments. My passion lies in capturing these visceral moments—where human grit meets nature’s grandeur—to inspire others to embrace the unknown and live boldly. Through my photography, I aim to immortalize the beauty of risk and the triumph of resilience.
My Passion for Life
My unbridled passion is chasing fear. I believe the best things in life are on the other side of fear. That feeling after accomplishing an objective or any goal that has you shaking in your boots. Getting to the top of a face and looking down at the drop that’s ahead of you and then over at my riding partner. That tingly feeling in the back of your brain telling you not to drop but you do it anyway. Screaming your head off with excitement and passion as you carve up a storm in thigh high powder, feeling more alive now, in this moment than at the top when your brain was saying don’t do this. Seeking out the type two fun, the chosen suffering. Playing that mental and physical game with yourself. “Is this something I should be doing?” I love being in situations where I have to question myself and my skill level. Ascending a rock face with my climbing partner, at the crux of the climb, 500 feet off the ground on a multi-pitch, looking at the next move and realizing I’m too short for this move to be able to pull it off statically. “Chalk up,” I say to myself and then I scream to my partner “Watch me,” as I dyno into the next move, heart pounding in my ears, that same tingly feeling saying “the ground is much safer!” I believe true fulfillment lies in confronting the unknown and savoring every heartbeat of the experience. The greatest passion of all is getting to share these moments with people. To look over at my paddle partner as we are about to drop a huge rapid and screaming to them “keep your paddle in the water,” all while my brain is screaming “we can still paddle to shore, we don’t have to do this.” Halfway through the rapid, in full read and run mode, popping through one rapid just to look to the next one realizing it’s a huge munchy wave that I need to charge though, knowing there is a possibility of this thing cresting onto my lap and flipping me over. The controlled chaos going on inside my brain, not even having time to think about how bad of an idea this was, in full blow alright let's get through this alive mode. By sharing my stories, I aim to inspire others to pursue their own adventures, live boldly, and embrace the wild, beautiful chaos of life. Through my lens, I capture the breathtaking beauty of nature and the raw energy of my journey, transforming fear into fuel for growth. That is my passion, sharing all these adventures and doing it with a camera.
